Reds winger on Rangers radar
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard looks set to put his Liverpool connections to good use once again by signing Sheyi Ojo on loan.
Former England international Gerrard spent 26 years as a player with the Reds, while also spending time coaching in their academy.
The 38-year-old, who took over the managerial reigns at Ibrox in 2018, has already put his links to Anfield to good use after signing Ryan Kent and Ovie Ejaria on loan last summer.
Kent is someone Gerrard is keen to re-sign on either a loan or permanent basis, while Ojo has now emerged as another potential target.
The 21-year-old winger has featured a handful of times for the Liverpool first team, but has spent recent seasons out on loan, including a spell at French club Reims during the current campaign.
Ojo struggled for regular first-team minutes during his time in France but is still highly-rated at Liverpool and looks set to sign a new five-year contract before heading out on loan once again.
That has put Rangers on red alert and, given Gerrard’s Liverpool past and the success Kent, in particular, has enjoyed this season, then the Glasgow giants could well be at the front of the queue to land Ojo.
