Everton ready to offer Gunners striker a fresh start
Everton are among the clubs chasing the signature of Danny Welbeck, who is available on a free transfer after leaving Arsenal.
Welbeck has been plagued by injury issues and despite closing in on a return to fitness, the Gunners opted against offering him a new deal when his current one expired at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old could turn out to be a bargain signing, if he can stay fit, and there is no shortage of interest in him, with clubs at home and abroad ready to offer him the chance to get his career back on track.
Everton are one of those clubs with boss Marco Silva looking to bolster his attacking options during the summer, while there is also interest from West Ham United, Newcastle and Italian outfit Lazio.
Welbeck is likely to weigh up all his options and offers before making a decision but a return to the north west, where he made his name with Manchester United, could appeal to him.
Any deals on the table are likely to be appearance related due to his injury issues.
