Roma’s Pellegrini targeted by Spurs
Tottenham are being tipped to enter the race to sign Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini this summer.
The Italy international is expected to leave Roma in the transfer window after the capital club failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Both AC and Inter Milan have been heavily linked with the 22-year-old but now fresh reports say Spurs and north London rivals Arsenal are also interested.
Boss Mauricio Pochettino is likely to need midfield reinforcements this summer and Pellegrini could be a viable option as he is believed to have a release clause of 30million euros.
Roma are keen to keep hold of the former Sassuolo man and are expected to offer him a lucrative new contract this summer – even though his current terms run until 2022.
Pellegrini was a regular for Roma last season, scoring four goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.
