Italians set to land Chelsea starlet
Atalanta are closing in on a swoop for Chelsea midfield starlet Mario Pasalic after agreeing a fee of 15million euros, reports claim.
The Croatian midfielder spent last season on loan with the Italian side and was a resounding success, helping the Bergamo side qualify for the Champions League as they finished third in Serie A.
Their attacking brand of football earned plaudits throughout Italy with Pasalic a key figure, and it is no surprise Orobici are keen to take him on a permanent basis.
Reliable Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira has taken to twitter to confirm that a 15million euros deal has been done between the two clubs and Pasalic will be an Atalanta player sooner rather than later.
It has also been suggested that Chelsea have ensured there is clause entitling them to a percentage of any fee should he be sold in the future, or possibly even a buy-back option, should he go on to flourish.
Chelsea have been stung in the past and are keen to ensure that does not happen again.
