Chelsea reject offers for Willian
Chelsea have reportedly turned down bids from both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid for winger Willian.
It is believed the La Liga duo have both submitted offers of around £35million for the Brazil international, with Chelsea reluctant to sell given they have already lost Eden Hazard to Real Madrid this summer and are currently under a transfer embargo.
However, that decision could prove something of a risk as Willian is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and could leave on a free next summer, while clubs from abroad could even negotiate a pre-contract agreement with the 30-year-old as early as January.
Chelsea are said to be in discussions with Willian over extending his six-year stay in west London, with reports suggesting they are willing to offer him a new two-year contract.
A lot will depend on who succeeds Maurizio Sarri as manager at Stamford Bridge this summer, while Willian may also be swayed by how much game-time he receives over the opening weeks of the new campaign.
