Blues defender offered Derby deal
Derby are reportedly keen on Chelsea’s Todd Kane and have offered the defender the chance to move to Pride Park.
The right-back joined Chelsea as an eight-year-old but is yet to make a senior appearance for the Blues after graduating from their academy in 2011.
Kane has spent the past seven seasons out on loan at the likes of Preston, Blackburn, Bristol City, Nottingham Forest, NEC Nijmegen, Groningen, Oxford and Hull.
He scored three times in 39 appearances for the Tigers in 2018-19 and has been offered the chance to return.
The 25-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge looks bleak and his current contract is set to expire at the end of the month.
Reports claim Chelsea have offered an extension but Kane looks set to move after failing to gain assurances over game-time.
Derby, who lost the Championship play-off final last season, want to take him to Pride Park but Frank Lampard’s future is proving to be a stumbling block.
It’s understood that Kane is waiting to see if Lampard opts to take up the managerial vacancy at Chelsea before making a decision on his own next move.
