Camacho set to swap Reds for Schalke
Liverpool forward Rafael Camacho is closing in on a move to Bundesliga outfit Schalke, according to German reports.
Camacho has grown frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities at Anfield and after a social media outburst back in April over being played out of position for the under-23s is expected to depart during the summer window.
Premier League rivals Wolves have been heavily linked with the Portugal youth international, while Benfica and Sporting Lisbon have also been credited with an interest in the 19-year-old.
It now appears as if Schalke are leading the race for his signature as Germany’s Kicker say they are close to agreeing a deal to sign Camacho, although reports in Portugal contradict those claims as Correio da Manha have suggested Camacho could be used as a makeweight in Liverpool‘s bid for Bruno Fernandes.
