Hornets in talks for Albion defender Dawson
Craig Dawson is closing in on a move away from West Brom as Watford have made a move for the defender.
The Baggies are keen to keep hold of Dawson but he is due to fall out of contract next summer and as such the club are open to offers, rather than allow him to run down his deal and leave as a free agent next year.
Watford have now made a move and reports claim they have begun discussions with Albion over a deal for the 29-year-old defender.
Dawson is keen to move on and handed in a transfer request last summer following interest from the Hornets but remained at the Hawthorns and went on to have a solid campaign in the Championship.
Burnley are also keen on Dawson and could launch a rival move but at this stage it seems as if Watford are leading the race for his signature.
If Dawson does depart, West Brom are expected to step up their attempts to land Reece Oxford from West Ham.
