Reports in Turkey claim Galatasaray have increased their pay offer to striker Javier Hernandez and hope to do a deal with West Ham.

The Istanbul giants have been linked with the Mexico international for some time, with Turkish newspaper Fanatik reporting that their initial offer of 3m euros per season has now been upped to 3.5m euros.

‘Chicharito’ is said to be holding out for 4m euros and it remains to be seen if Gala are prepared to go that high, but he still has one year to run on his Hammers contract and so there are negotiations to be done between the clubs.

Having made his name as an impact player at Manchester United, Hernandez enjoyed a short stint at Real Madrid before a couple of seasons at Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, arriving at the London Stadium in the summer of 2017.

He has scored 15 Premier League goals from 53 outings but has never been a regular under Manuel Pellegrini.

It may be that the Mexican wants to see more action and, with that unlikely to happen in the East End, a move to Turkey night suit all parties concerned.
