Palace hoping for Clyne reunion
Nathaniel Clyne is expected to leave Liverpool and has reportedly set his sights on a return to first club Crystal Palace this summer.
Clyne is somewhat of a forgotten man at Anfield and spent the second half of last season on loan at Bournemouth after falling down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp.
The 28-year-old joined the Cherries in January in a bid to kick-start his career and the England international did well on the south coast, making 15 appearances.
He’s now seeking a permanent exit and is said to be keen on a return to Palace, where he began his career.
Clyne played 137 times for the Eagles before a move to Southampton in 2012 and is keen to return to Selhurst Park, where he could be brought in as a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is being courted by Manchester United this summer.
Bournemouth are also still hoping to sort out a deal to sign Clyne permanently although it appears he has his heart set on a return to London.
Liverpool are set to hold out for a fee in excess of £10million for the defender, who has just over a year left on his contract.
