Reds eye Junior to replace Moreno
Real Betis left wing-back Junior Firpo has emerged as a transfer target for Liverpool this summer.
Reports in Spain claim the European champions are looking at Junior as a possible replacement for Alberto Moreno, who has departed Anfield following the end of his contract.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has Andrew Robertson as his first-choice full-back down the left but needs competition and could be ready to make a move for Junior, who it’s believed has a 50m euros release clause.
The 22-year-old represented Spain at Under-21 level before switching allegiance to the country of his birth, Dominican Republic, and has established himself at Betis in the past 12 months, making 24 La Liga appearances last season, scoring three goals and managing four assists.
Newcastle and Crystal Palace have also been linked with Junior this summer.
