Bentancur pens new Juventus deal
Juventus have confirmed midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has signed a two-year contract extension that will see him stay until 2024.
The Uruguay international joined the Serie A giants in 2017 after making 51 league appearances for Boca Juniors.
He has since won successive league titles in Turin and he made 40 appearances in all competitions last season to help them win an eighth-straight league crown.
Confirming the deal, Juventus released a statement which read: ‘Rodrigo Bentancur has officially extended his Juventus stay by penning a contract , which will tie him to the club until 2024.
‘Bentancur has shown he can be a dependable, intelligent and an agile midfielder, who demonstrates his class each time he steps onto the pitch.
‘ Bentancur could soon be joined at the club by centre back Matthijs de Ligt, with reports claiming Juve have agreed a deal with Ajax.
