Carnevali confirms Sassuolo exit close for Inter target Sensi
Stefano Sensi is believed to be closing in on a move to Inter Milan, Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali has confirmed.
The 23-year-old Italy international midfielder, who has scored five goals in 68 appearances for Sassuolo since joining from Cesena in January 2016, had been linked with a move to Milan in this transfer window.
However, their city rivals appear to have hijacked the move and could wrap up a 25 million euros swoop imminently having already agreed personal terms.
‘We are negotiating, there is a very good chance of completing the deal,’ Carnevali told SportMediaset.
‘We’re on the right track and will meet up again next week.
Inter proved that their interest was more concrete than other clubs, who at the moment are further behind in the race.
‘I’m sure [Inter coach] Antonio Conte will improve Sensi even further, as he is already growing well and is ready for this next step.’
