Gunners must raise bid to land Celtic star this summer
Arsenal are reported to be closing in on a move for Celtic star Kieran Tierney but will have to raise their £15million offer to have a chance of doing a deal.
Gunners boss Unai Emery is keen to get the full-back on board and a move could be on the verge of going through after the player was spotted in London, when it is believed he and his agent were holding talks over a deal.
Celtic could be powerless to keep hold of their talented defender, but they will not let him go on the cheap, and Arsenal‘s offer falls well short of their valuation, with reports claiming they will not let him leave for anything less than £25million.
Former Gunners and Celtic star John Hartson says the Glasgow giants do not want to sell but also believes talk of a £15million bid is an insult for a player of Tierney’s quality.
Hartson said on Twitter: ‘My old club Arsenal testing the waters with reported £15m bid for Kieran Tierney.
Celtic don’t want to sell besides that in this current market £15m is an embarrassment to the player and his ability.
‘ It is claimed Arsenal are confident of landing their man for less than the £25million that Celtic are after.
