Sane turns down Bayern move
According to reports, Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has turned down the chance of joining Bayern Munich.
Germany international Sane has been linked with a summer exit from the Premier League champions this summer and it was thought a move to German giants Bayern was on the cards.
The Bavarians are eager to bring in reinforcements following the departures of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben and the Bundesliga champions had set their sights on the 23-year-old City star.
Sane scored 16 times and contributed 18 assists in 47 appearances for the Citizens during the 2018-19 campaign but reports claimed he was looking for a new challenge after being overlooked towards the end of last season.
However, the winger, who has just over two years left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, is believed to have told friends that he will not be returning to Germany, having started his career at Schalke.
Bayern could now move back in for Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi after being knocked back by the Blues in the January transfer window.
