Spurs hopeful of wrapping up £60m deal
Tottenham are confident of wrapping up a deal for Lyon forward Tanguy Ndombele in a move that will set them back £60million.
Spurs are said to be leading the race to sign the talented attacker but have been struggling to hammer out a fee with Lyon, who are holding out for £71million.
However, reports are rife suggesting that Spurs are confident of negotiating a deal with the Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas and believe they will be able to get him down to around £60million.
‘Nothing has been decided for Ndombele.
We have had a lot of offers but none of them meet my expectations,’ Aulas has been quoted as saying.
Ndombele has also described Spurs as a ‘big club’ and is one he would be happy to join, so there is a good chance Daniel Levy will be able to get him on board for boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Tottenham’s current transfer record stands at £40million, what they paid for Davidson Sanchez, but that looks sure to be smashed during this window as Pochettino finally gets the chance to bolster his ranks.
