Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen is hoping to complete a move to Manchester United after missing out on Real Madrid, reports claim.

The Denmark international appears to have set his heart on a move away from Spurs, and Real have been heavily linked as they look to rebuild following the return of Zinedine Zidane as coach.

However following the capture of Eden Hazard from Chelsea and their continued pursuit of Reds midfielder Paul Pogba, they are reported to have dropped all interest in Eriksen.

It is now claimed that Eriksen has set his heart on a switch to Old Trafford and is hoping that United make an approach to sign him this summer.

The Reds have been heavily linked win the past and with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the hunt for midfield reinforcements as part of his own rebuild, there is a chance Eriksen could get his wish.

The 27-year-old chipped in with 10 goals and provided a further 17 assists last season, and Spurs will be demanding big money if they are to back down in and cash in.
