Gunners hope to pip Spurs to available Real star
Arsenal have entered the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos and hope to pip arch rivals Tottenham to his signature.
Ceballos has been made available by the Spanish giants as they look to recoup some cash following a mammoth transfer splurge this summer, and Spurs have been heavily linked.
However, Spanish publication AS have now suggested that Arsenal are ready to nip in and are more willing to meet Real’s £45million valuation.
Much has been made of the fact that Gunners boss Unai Emery has a limited budget this summer, but he is ready to wheel and deal to give himself more funds.
Doubts remain over the future of Lucas Torreira for starters, and if he was to return to Italy with AC Milan, that would free up the funds to move for Ceballos.
Torreira and Ceballos are both valued at £45million so it will just be a case of swapping one for the other for the Gunners as Emery looks to reshape his ranks this summer.
Tottenham could still have a say though and a battle between the two north London rivals looks to be on the cards.
