Reds set to beat top Euro rivals to Dutch starlet
Liverpool are reported to be closing in on a swoop for Dutch under-19 international defender Sepp Van den Berg, who is in hot demand.
The 17-year-old currently plays as centre-back for Dutch side FC Zwolle, but he is about to enter the final year of his contract, and they are ready to sell.
There is no shortage of interest in the starlet.
As well as Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Ajax and PSV Eindhoven, are all said to be showing an interest in him.
However, Liverpool are reported to have edged in front of them all with head of recruitment Dave Fallow and chief scout Barry Hunter set to wrap up a deal this week.
Van Den Berg caught the eye when making 16 appearances of the Eredivise side last season and is tipped to have a very bright future.
Liverpool are keen to get him on board and will put him into the under-23s initially with a view to him pushing for the first-team sooner rather than later.
