Baggies starlet set for City switch
Manchester City are reported to be closing in on a swoop for West Bromwich Albion wonderkid Morgan Rogers.
City are busy strengthening their squad with players that can make an immediate impact, but they also have one eye on the future and Rogers is said to be a star in the making.
The forward is only 16 years old but managed to force his way into the Baggies first team last season when making his debut in the FA Cup clash against Brighton.
Albion want to keep hold of the starlet with a view to developing him further in the forthcoming campaign, but City are poised to strike and negotiations are said to be at an advanced stage.
City will have to pay compensation for the England Under-17 international, who has been compared to Tottenham’s Dele Alli, but that will not be an issue.
Rogers has so far turned down all offers to commit to the Black Country outfit and a switch to City looks to be on the cards.
