Dalby makes permanent Watford switch
Watford have completed the signing of Leeds United striker Sam Dalby for an undisclosed fee.
Englishman Dalby makes the switch to Vicarage Road after never making a senior appearance for Championship outfit Leeds, who missed out on Premier League last season after losing to Derby in the play-off semi-finals.
The 19-year-old was highly-regarded at Elland Road and he did score in the 1-1 pre-season draw against York City last summer to earn himself the number 41 shirt for the 2018/19 campaign for Leeds.
However, the striker failed to make a single appearance for Marcelo Bielsa’s men although he did earn rave reviews for his performance in Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side.
Dalby joined League Two Morecambe on loan for the second half of last season and played in two matches in a largely unsuccessful stint at the Globe Arena.
The Leytonstone-born star will now be playing his trade at Watford and is expected to start life in the club’s Under-23 set-up.
