Saints issued Lemina boost
Southampton have been boosted by the news Manchester United have downplayed their reputed interest midfielder Mario Lemina.
A host of clubs have been linked with the Saints star, who was a bright light for the south-coast outfit in what was a difficult season in the Premier League at St Mary’s.
The likes of Arsenal and Leicester City have been linked with Lemina but it was thought United were leading the chase to sign the 25-year-old Gabon international this summer.
However, the latest reports have suggested the Red Devils are not preparing a move for Lemina and that will come as positive news for Southampton, with manager Ralph Hasenhuttl still hopeful he can keep the player ahead of the new Premier League season.
