Frankfurt rebuff Inter’s opening 30m euros bid for Rebic
Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly snubbed a 30million euros bid from Inter Milan for the signature of striker Ante Rebic.
The 25-year-old Croatia international forward has been linked with a big-money summer exit from the Bundesliga side after they failed to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Rebic, who has scored 22 goals in 91 appearances since joining from Fiorentina in 2017, was believed to be a target for Atletico Madrid as they bid to replace Barcelona-bound Antoine Griezmann.
But with no offer forthcoming from the Spanish outfit, it was claimed that Italian giants Inter made a tentative opening of 30m euros for the player’s services.
However, Frankfurt officials are holding out for a fee in the region of 40m euros before they will contemplate allowing their prize asset to leave.
Reports claim Inter are likely to make an improved bid in the hope of taking Rebic to the San Siro in this transfer window.
