Gunners up offer in hope of finally landing target
Arsenal are reported to have made a new improved offer of £25million in the hope of landing Celtic defender Kieran Tierney.
The Gunners have been chasing the left-back for the last few months but have so far been unable to agree a fee with the Scottish champions when failing with offers in the region of £18million.
The Hoops have so far stood firm and refused to sell, but it is thought this latest offer will really test their resolve as it is close to, possibly even right on their valuation of the talented youngster.
Arsenal have been forced to up their offer for fear of losing out to Serie A side Napoli, who are in the hunt and could also match Celtic’s valuation in the hope of getting a deal done ahead of the Gunners.
There is still an issue with Tierney’s fitness as he battles back from a hip injury, but it is nothing serious and is not preventing Arsenal from pushing ahead with attempts to get a transfer over the line.
