Icardi to miss Inter’s tour of Asia
Inter Milan have confirmed Mauro Icardi won’t travel with the rest of the squad for their summer tour of Asia.
The controversial striker lost the captaincy in February but maybe hoped to force his way back into contention under new boss Antonio Conte.
However, it appears Conte isn’t keen to keep any disruptive figure around his squad and a move away from the San Siro looks imminent.
Inter Tweeted: ‘Mauro Icardi will today return to Milan from our training camp in Lugano.
The club and the striker have come to this decision by mutual agreement.
‘Icardi will continue his pre-season training over the next few days and will take no part in our summer Tour in Asia.
‘ Inter head to Asia to face Manchester United, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, before heading back to Europe to take on Tottenham and Valencia.
United, Juventus and PSG have all been linked with the Argentina international, who has hit 124 goals in all competitions since joining from Sampdoria in 2013.
