Milan target swoop for Leipzig’s star stopper Upamecano
RB Leipzig face a fight to keep star defender Dayot Upamecano this summer with AC Milan heavily linked with a swoop.
The 20-year-old France Under-21 international moved to the Bundesliga side from Austrian side Salzburg in January 2017 and has gone on to make 75 appearances, scoring three goals.
Upamecano’s form for his club and Les Bleus’ Under-21 side in the recent European Championship in Italy has resulted in interest from Milan officials as their coach Paolo Maldini looks to bolster his central defensive options in this transfer window.
Leipzig will be looking to pick up around 35million euros for his signature, but reports claim Milan will look to tempt them by including Hakan Calhanoglu as part of any transfer.
Leipzig expressed an interest in the Turkish midfielder in the winter transfer window and could be interested in taking him along with a sizeable fee from the Rossoneri.
