Palace fail in bid for Spurs’ stopper Walker-Peters
Crystal Palace have failed in a bid to sign full-back Kyle Walker-Peters from Tottenham, according to reports.
Eagles boss Roy Hodgson is scouring the market to find a suitable replacement for Aaron-Wan-Bissaka after his £50million switch to Manchester United earlier in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson has been linked along with 24-year-old Chile international Paulo Diaz, who plies his trade in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ahli.
However, it appears the former England manager, Hodgson, has made a cheeky bid to sign Walker-Peters from London rivals Spurs.
The 22-year-old has only made 19 appearances in two seasons, but he is regarded highly by Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Indeed, with Kieran Trippier sold to Atletico Madrid and the future of Serge Aurier in doubt, it looks likely that Walker-Peters will play a much bigger part at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2019-20.
