Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has appeared to indicate the club have a plan to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

Zidane is known to be an admirer of the France international, who has appeared to indicate that he is keen to make the move to the Spanish capital this summer.

United are reluctant to sell one of their prized assets, however, which means Real would have to come in with a sizeable bid to twist their arm.

Los Blancos have already spent nearly £275million on the likes of Eden Hazard, Eder Militao, Rodrygo and Luka Jovic this summer, but it appears they do still have something in reserve for a player of Pogba’s quality.

That is certainly the indication given by Zidane, although the 47-year-old has also stated that Real must respect United’s stance.

‘I will not go into that.

You have to respect some things,’ Zidane said ahead of Real’s International Champions Cup match against Bayern Munich on Sunday when asked about Pogba.

‘We have a plan with the club and we’ll see what happens.

What happens next will already be seen.

You know many things, but we will see.

Lots of things can happen.’
