Chelsea defender wants Everton switch
Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is keen to join Everton and will tell Frank Lampard he wants to leave, reports have said.
Lampard has made it clear the Frenchman is in his plans moving forward and will not be sold, but it is claimed the player himself will now push for a move away.
Zouma impressed while on loan at Goodison Park last season and is keen to play regular football to force his way into the France side with the 2020 European Championships fast approaching.
He does not believe he will get that with Chelsea and will tell Lampard he wants to move on.
If Lampard says no, there is a danger Toffees boss Marco Silva will quickly move on to other targets.
‘Of course, one of the most important things for me, since we finished the season, is to keep our level,’ Silva said.
‘It is very, very good for us that we could do that with Andre [Gomes] and our most important players until now, because it was not just Andre and Kurt.
‘The most important players in our squad are still here at our club, the 15 or 16 players who played the most are still here until this moment, other than Kurt.
Let’s see what we can do in this situation.’
