United and Lille in advanced talks over forward
Manchester United are reportedly deep in discussions with Lille as they line up Nicolas Pepe to replace Romelu Lukaku.
Pepe has been linked with a host of clubs across Europe this summer after hitting 22 goals to help Lille finish second in Ligue 1 last season.
Lille’s £70million price tag appears to have worked in putting off most suitors but United have recently made contact.
The Red Devils look set to sell Lukaku to Inter Milan, although negotiations are still ongoing, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to make sure they have an adequate replacement lined up.
Reports claim talks between the two clubs are at an ‘advanced stage’ with Solskjaer leading the fight for the Ivory Coast international.
