Burnley flop poised to make Turf Moor exit
Burnley are said to be open to the possibility of allowing defender Ben Gibson to leave with a host of clubs reportedly interested.
The centre half arrived at Turf Moor last summer in a £15m deal from Middlesbrough and was viewed as a potential replacement for James Tarkowski, who was wanted elsewhere at the time, only to struggle to adapt to life in Lancashire.
After managing just one Premier League appearance last season, the Clarets could be ready to cut their losses on the player who may well find himself on the move before the window shuts next month.
Burnley will only sell if they get a significant part of the fee they paid for the 26-year-old back from any potential new club and that in itself could lead to him staying where he is at least for the time being.
