Spurs striker moves on after agreeing Mexico switch
Vincent Janssen has ended his Tottenham nightmare after agreeing a deal to join Mexican side C.F Monterrey.
The 25-year-old Netherlands international joined Spurs from AZ Alkmaar in 2016 in the hope of providing strong competition for Harry Kane but failed to make an impact at White Hart Lane.
In his three years at the club he made just 42 appearances, scoring six goals, and spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Fenerbahce before returning to Spurs.
In fairness the striker has struggled with injury, and after again failingto get a look-in during last season, will now hope to get his career back on track with Monterrey Tottenham are also happy to bank £6million for the Dutchman, who scored just two Premier League goals, and free up a bit more space on the wage bill in the process.
