Hornets handed boost

Watford's hopes of pulling off a scalp against Arsenal have been boosted with news two Gunners defenders may miss Saturday's clash.

The Hornets were held to a 2-2 draw in their last Premier League outing against West Brom to move Marco Silva's side into eighth place in the standings after 11 games.

It has been a strong start to the campaign for the Portuguese tactician and Silva has been handed a boost ahead of the arrival of Arsene Wenger's side to Vicarage Road this weekend.

Defenders Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny are both major doubts for the encounter with a knee and Achilles injury respectively.

Watford secured a 2-1 win over Arsenal in their last meeting in the Premier League and the potential absences of Mustafi and Koscielny could help the Hornets to a positive result this weekend.
