Chris Brunt has said West Brom boss Tony Pulis is a "solid" manager and believes his brand of football gets results.
Pulis' future at the Hawthorns is still a subject for speculation amid reports the club's new Chinese owners are considering a change in management.
Not all of the Albion faithful would be sad to see Pulis leave due to his style of play but Brunt has indicated it might be a mistake to get rid of a manager who tends to get results in the Premier League.
The Northern Ireland international admits the team could do with a few more games like Saturday's 4-2 victory over West Ham but says Pulis would not have taken charge of 1000 matches if he was not successful, ahead of him reaching the milestone at Stoke on Saturday.
"Sometimes it might not be the most entertaining, maybe that’s not the right word, but we do a job out there to get results," Brunt told the Express & Star.
“When he came in we were struggling near the bottom of the table and he’s taken over and we’ve finished pretty comfortably safe the last two seasons.
“He’s a good, solid Premier League manager. Obviously people pay the money and have the right to their opinion.
“But if we can turn in more performances like we did against West Ham, people will keep coming to watch us.”
