Stadium name change off Baggies agenda

West Brom chief executive Martin Goodman insists there are no plans to rename The Hawthorns at present.

Albion have recently renamed their training base after receiving sponsorship from Chinese eco-town company Palm, who the club's owner Guochuan Lai is affiliated to.

Goodman though says changing the stadium name or incorporating a sponsor into the name isn't a priority for West Brom although he would not categorically rule it out, and insisted the fans will be consulted should that possibility arise.

"That's not on the agenda at the moment," he told the Express & Star.

"We would have to have a consultation with the fans if we were to go down that route. But it's not something on our current agenda because we are concentrating on other commercial areas."

The Hawthorns has been Albion's home since 1900 and is currently the highest ground (168 metres) in all four English divisions.
