The Hammers qualified for the Europa League qualifying rounds after finishing in seventh last season, just four points behind the top four.
However, Slaven Bilic's men were beaten by FC Astra for the second year running as they lost four games in a row in September.
West Ham have won just three league games all season and that form has seen fall to 16th in the league table and they are still just one point away from the drop zone.
Bilic's side are still fighting in the EFL Cup after wins over Accrington Stanley and Chelsea and they will take on Manchester United in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
Having shown some promising form in the EFL Cup, Antonio is confident his side will eventually find their feet in the league as they try to finish in the top 10, which you can back using your free bet.
He told Sky Sports: "I don't feel that we should be down there, but because of the performances that we have had and the mistakes we've been making, that's why we are down there.
"But as a team and the players that we have, it's just not right. Luckily, this season, everybody is beating everybody and the bad run of form that we've had so far, we're still in and around it.
"If we win a couple of games, we could easily be ninth or 10th, it's just one of those things where we've got to concentrate on our own game and make sure we've put all of our mistakes behind us now.
"It's just about getting that consistency in the Premier League. As a player you have to be consistent and as a team you have got to be consistent to be up and around the big boys.
"Hopefully we've now put everything behind us, we find our shape, we find our bond and now we can push on and get up the league."
