Hammers make fresh move

West Ham have, according to reports, made a second and improved bid for Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass.

The Hammers are said to have had a £3m offer for the Scottish international last week turned down by the struggling Tigers but they were always expected to return with an improved figure, and reports claim they have upped their bid to £5m.

Snodgrass turned down a new long-term deal with the Tigers last month and although Hull recently triggered his one-year contract extension, West Ham still tabled an offer for the player.

The 29-year-old's refusal to commit himself to the KCOM Stadium has alerted several other Premier League clubs, with Middlesbrough also said to be keen.
