Hammers new boy looks to start
West Ham, Updated:
New West Ham signing Razvan Rat says he cannot wait to start his first game for the club and he'll be proud to wear the shirt.
The Romanian captain was Sam Allardyce's first signing of the summer when he penned a one-year deal after moving from Ukranian champions Shakhtar Donetsk and he is looking forward to playing for the Hammers.
He is targeting a full debut against Cardiff at home on the opening day of the season on August 17.
"First of all I am very happy to wear a West Ham United kit," he told West Ham TV.
"For me it's an honour to wear this shirt and to play in the Premier League. I will be very proud to wear the claret and blue colours and I hope to satisfy the fans.
"I'll be very excited when I pull on the kt for the first time, because it will be my first game here."
