Quagliarella in fresh Hammers link

West Ham have enquired about Juventus' striker Fabio Quagliarella and are pondering making a swoop for the experienced Italian.

The 30-year-old appears surplus to requirements at the Serie A champions and has been linked with a move to the Premier League all summer.
The Hammers have been among several clubs, on a list that includes Norwich and Fulham, that have tracked Quagliarella and the Italy international is believed to be keen on a move to a London club.
He has won 40 caps and scored seven goals for his national team, although he has not featured for the Azzurri since the 1-1 draw against Romania in November 2010, and would bring vast experience to Upton Park.
It is thought boss Sam Allardyce views him as a perfect short-term option as he searches for strikers to enhance his forward line and the former Torino man could be available for as little as £5million as he approaches the end of his career.
