Striker deal on hold

Reports that West Ham are closing in on a £15m transfer on Brentford striker Scott Hogan appear to be wide of the mark.

It had been widely reported that the deal was almost done and the Bees' striker would arrive at the club this week for a fee starting at £10m and moving up to £15m with addons, but that is apparently not quite the case.

Reports now claim the deal is a long way from being done as West Ham believe the price is too high and they also have worries over his injury record, as Hogan suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury back in 2015.
