Striker linked with move

West Ham striker Andy Carroll has been linked with a move to Sunderland to link up with former Hammers boss Sam Allardyce

The new Black Cats boss signed Carroll for the Hammers back in 2013 for a club-record fee of £15m but the move has been hampered by injury problems and the big striker has only recently returned to the first team.

According to reports, the Hammers would sell, if the price were right, to try and recoup some of their massive outlay on a player who has hardly featured. Carroll has three years left on a contract said to be worth £85,000-a-week.
