Wigan will have striker Conor Sammon available for the trip to Stoke after his red card was rescinded by the Football Association.
The 25-year-old was sent off by referee Phil Dowd during the first half of Monday's 5-0 defeat at Manchester United for a clash with Michael Carrick and would have had to serve a three-match ban had the decision not been overturned.
The Latics have no new injury problems and could soon welcome back defender Emmerson Boyce, who has been out since the beginning of November with a hamstring problem.
